Led the research and interaction design for the platform from legacy enterprise Android tablets to in-vehicle HMI. The challenge was to bring a platform that was built to be customized by fleets into a more modular and uniform experience across multiple devices and context of use: from mobile phones, Zebra, tablets, different OEM in-vehicle infotainments. This involved collaborating with a UI designer on our design systems and working very closely with cross-functional teams from compliance, fleet management, marketplace integrations, productivity apps and telematics to shape the driver's experience. I translated research from field trips with last mile truck drivers, dispatch office shadowing and interviews into documents shareholders could refer to and operational requirements into user flows, interface states, a widget-based driving interface and production specifications for engineering handoff.
